Fangxin Resins Attends the Seminar on Group Standards for Artificial Stone

On August 8, 2025, the Seminar on Artificial Stone Standards hosted by the China Stone Association was successfully held in Zaozhuang, Shandong Province. The meeting focused on discussions regarding the revision of two standards, namely Technical Specification for Production Process of Resin-based Artificial Stone and Technical Code for Application of Resin-based Artificial Stone, as well as the compilation of Food-grade Quartz Stone Countertop.
More than 20 participants attended the meeting, including Sun Weixing, Secretary-General of the China Stone Association; Zhou Junxing, Secretary-General of the National Technical Committee for Standardization of Stone Materials; Zhai Jiye, Secretary-General of the Unsaturated Polyester Resin Branch of the China Synthetic Resin Association; Nie Yanzhen, Secretary-General of the Shandong Stone Industry Association; relevant experts from the Artificial Stone Technical Committee; and representatives of participating enterprises. Lu Xudong, General Manager of Fangxin Resins, also participated in the meeting. The meeting was presided over by Tian Jing, Secretary-General of the Artificial Stone Professional Committee of the China Stone Association, and the standard discussion session was chaired by Secretary-General Zhou Junxing.
Li Yong, Director of the Artificial Stone Technical Committee of the China Stone Association and Deputy General Manager & Chief Engineer of Guangdong Zhongqi New Materials Co., Ltd., gave a detailed interpretation of the revised contents of Technical Specification for Production Process of Resin-based Artificial Stone and Technical Code for Application of Resin-based Artificial Stone. Yan Faxiang, Chief Engineer of Guangzhou Gelandi New Materials Co., Ltd., introduced the formulation ideas and main contents of the standard for Food-grade Quartz Stone Countertop from the perspectives of market demand and technical indicators.
Combining production and market conditions, the participating experts and enterprise representatives put forward practical and valuable suggestions for revisions, aiming to ensure the scientificity, standardization and timeliness of the standards and improve their quality.

In his concluding speech, Secretary-General Sun Weixing pointed out that although the industry is currently facing challenges such as a sluggish market environment, enterprises should still maintain confidence in development. He emphasized that formulating and improving industry standards, as well as enhancing product quality and technical level, are the keys for enterprises to cope with market fluctuations and achieve long-term development. Standardization work is not only conducive to regulating market order, but also can promote the improvement of the overall competitiveness of the industry, laying a solid foundation for the healthy development of the industry.
The relevant standards will be further revised and improved based on the opinions and suggestions put forward at this meeting, as well as the written feedback from experts and industry enterprises that were not able to attend the meeting.
